nursery

nothing too earth-shattering to update on other than mom and i did some serious work in the nursery last weekend.  it was AMAZING having her here, first of all, and second of all, she worked harder than i ever expected anyone to.  i guess knowing that it was for her grandbaby gave her lots of energy and incentive.  we worked in excess of 10-12 hours for the couple of days that we had.  the crib and dresser should be delivered this week, so BEFORE and AFTER pics should be coming soon.  woohoo!!  i can't believe a real live baby will be living in that room!  weird!!!!

i got my glucose tolerance test done last week.  don't know the results yet, but i'm pretty sure everything is fine.  wednesday, i get the injection that you have to get if you have a negative blood type.  needles!  i love them! :-/

less than 2 weeks til i fly to north louisiana for my baby shower.  :-)  i can't wait to see all my family!  i'm very much looking forward to this trip.

as crazy as it may sound, i've made the decision to use cloth diapers on my baby.  :-)  i'm kinda excited about it actually.  they've come a long way since i was a baby, otherwise i wouldn't have even considered it.  i'm not THAT much of an environmentalist.  :-)

anyway, nursery pics coming soon.  stay tuned.

  2. Well, I used cloth diapers too, but of course that was over 30 years ago. :o)

I so enjoyed hearing about your Mom's time there and sounds like it was most productive.

I can't wait to see the finished nursery.

  3. I never knew I could work that hard! I didn't consider it work so much, though; it was quality time spent with YOU! OK, it WAS work....but we will always have the memories of that time AND labor we shared. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Look very forward to seeing you next weekend!

  4. We are cloth diaper-ers. Let me know if you have questions--not that I have all the answers, but I might be able to help! Nalene
